Door reinforcement in Paris
Your front door stays in place and keeps its look from the landing: we reinforce it with steel and an A2P-certified multipoint lock. It costs less than a security door and is ideal for the doors of older Parisian buildings.
Reinforcement also improves the door’s thermal and sound insulation. We take the measurements at your home and the quote is free.

Lock replacement in Paris

Do you work at night, at weekends and on public holidays?
Yes, 24/7, public holidays included, in Paris and the Hauts-de-Seine. At weekends, the daytime rate is the same as during the week; night surcharges are always given to you on the phone.
How quickly can a locksmith get to me?

My door is locked: does the lock need replacing?
A locked door usually means drilling the cylinder, which then has to be replaced. Opening costs €135 incl. VAT for a standard door and €149 for a security door, during the day; the cylinder replacement is priced before the work starts.
I’ve broken my key in the lock. What should I do?
Don’t force it, and don’t try to pull the piece out with a sharp object: you could push it further in. A locksmith extracts it with a suitable tool, often without changing the cylinder. See also our page on a key broken in the lock.
What should I do after a burglary?
File a police report, then notify your home insurer, usually within two working days. We secure the door the same day, then fit an A2P-certified lock; the detailed invoice will support your claim. Read also: what to do after an attempted break-in.
Can my home insurance cover the call-out?
Often, depending on your policy: after a break-in, and sometimes after lost or stolen keys. We give you a detailed invoice to send to your insurer; we work with the main home insurers.
How can I avoid locksmith scams?
Ask for a firm price before the call-out, check the company’s real address and its Google reviews, and refuse any destructive work that hasn’t been explained to you. Reinforcement strengthens your existing door: it stays in place and keeps its look from the landing, with a steel sheet, a frame, anti-jemmy angle bars and an A2P-certified multipoint lock. A security door replaces the old one with a complete door set, door and frame, A2P BP1, BP2 or BP3 certified. Reinforcement costs less; a security door offers the highest level of protection.
