Recent buildings and offices between two arms of the Seine

Most of the Île de la Jatte belongs to Neuilly, the downstream part to Levallois-Perret. Around place du Général-Gouraud and the Pont de Neuilly station, the neighbourhood faces La Défense, on the other side of the bridge. The espace Dupont-Fauville, on rue du Pont, occupies the former public baths of 1922, and the church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, on avenue Charles-de-Gaulle, was built in 1831 for the inhabitants of Port-Neuilly. I’ve bought a house in a gated villa: who changes what?

At your home, we change the cylinder of the front door and, where there are any, those of the service door or the garage. The villa’s railings or gate are generally shared property: its cylinder is changed with the agreement of the owners’ association or the building manager, who also handles handing out the new keys.

Can my building’s co-ownership impose a security door model on me?

The co-ownership rules can govern the appearance of the door on the landing side: colour, mouldings, handle. Ask the building manager what is required before choosing a model. If the face of the door has to stay original, reinforcing the existing door strengthens it from the inside without changing what the neighbours see.

Can you open the door of a private mansion or an old door without damaging it?

A door that has simply slammed shut is generally opened without damage, even an original wooden door. If it is locked, the cylinder sometimes has to be drilled, and we replace it on the spot so the door locks again. Tell us when you call if it is an old lever lock: the equipment is not the same.

Do you copy security keys?

Yes, for the main brands: Fichet, Picard, Bricard, Vachette… A protected key is only copied on presentation of the card of ownership. Orders are placed online, on our key copies page.
