What the installation includes
A security door only protects you properly if it is installed properly: a plumb frame, firmly fixed, and a carefully adjusted lock. Here is what we do, from the first visit to the handover of the keys.
On installation day, we remove the old door, install and secure the door set, then adjust the lock and the locking points. The work area is left clean, and by that evening the door locks.

Design your door: mouldings and colours
Choose the mouldings, then the colour on the landing side and on the flat side: the door drawing updates to match your choices. The door chosen in the door advisor is added to your quote request.
Manufacturers’ colour charts
Each manufacturer has its own colour chart. Picard Serrures offers melamine panels and every RAL colour for the frame; Fichet, 28 to 30 lacquered colours, wood-effect finishes and natural wood panels; Tordjman Métal, 90 colours. The Bloc parisien comes in the colour of your choice.
On the inside, the door face and the frame take the same RAL colour.

Building rules
On the landing side, a door often has to keep the look of the other doors in the building. The Bloc parisien reproduces mouldings, in the colour of your choice; for a Picard, Tordjman or Fichet door, we help you choose a compatible panel and provide the technical data sheet to show the building manager.
Insurance
Many home insurance policies require an A2P-certified door or lock, sometimes at BP2 or BP3 level. Check yours before choosing, and keep the invoice and the keys’ card of ownership.
After a break-in
If your door has been forced, we can secure it 24/7, then prepare the quote for the new door. The itemised invoice will support your insurance claim.

How much does security door installation cost in Paris?
At La Clé du 16, a certified security door starts at €3,250 incl. VAT with the Bloc parisien simple BP1; the price of each door is shown on its product page. The measuring visit and the quote are free.
How long does installation take?
One day, as a rule: we remove the old door, install and secure the door set, then adjust the lock. By that evening, the door locks.
How long does it take to get my door?
The door is made to your measurements, after our visit. As a rule, allow three to four weeks for a Picard door; the exact lead time depends on the model and the finish, and it is shown on the quote.
How does the measuring visit work?
We come to your home to measure the width and height of the opening and to check the opening direction and the condition of the frame and the floor. It is also the moment to choose the landing-side finish. The visit and the quote are free, and nothing is ordered beforehand.
Do I need the building’s approval?
The building rules often govern the appearance of front doors: check them before ordering. On the landing side, the Bloc parisien keeps the look of period doors; for the other models, we help you choose a compatible panel and provide the technical data sheet for the building manager.
Should I replace my door, or can it be reinforced?
If your wooden door is in good condition and you want to keep its look, door reinforcement strengthens it without replacing it. If it is damaged, too thin or poorly insulated, a new door is the better option: the Bloc parisien is the most affordable certified solution, and the Picard and Fichet doors offer the best insulation.
Do you install double-leaf or extra-tall doors?
Yes. Double doors in Haussmann-era buildings are common in Paris: we install the Bloc parisien double vantaux, A2P BP1 or BP3 certified, and the Picard Diamant double vantaux, A2P BP1 certified; we can also reinforce an existing double door. A very tall or arched door is priced on quotation.
