Two faces, two finishes
A security door has two faces. On the landing side, the building’s co-ownership rules often dictate a colour or a look; inside the flat, nothing stops you choosing a bold colour, a wood or a moulded design.
Picard doors can be ordered with different finishing panels on each face: lacquer in a RAL colour, wood veneer, melamine or moulded panels. We show you the colour charts when we come to measure, so you can choose at home, in the light of your own hallway.

- The colour: lacquer from the RAL chart, or the colour required on the landing side.
- The material: wood, melamine, smooth lacquer or moulded panel.
- The handles: chrome, brass or black, to match your other doors.

Mouldings, melamine, lacquer: the designs available
In the buildings of the Nouvelle Athènes, many entrances still have doors with moulded panels: the security door can reproduce that pattern on the landing side. In a renovated flat, a smooth panel or a melamine with a stone-like sheen goes well with dark walls.
The design makes no difference to the certification: a Diamant 20 remains A2P BP2, whatever its finish. The price, however, varies with the panel chosen; it is itemised on the quote.
Three design families
- Mouldings: framed panels, in the spirit of the original doors.
- Melamine: a scratch-resistant panel that is easy to look after.
- Lacquer: a plain colour, chosen from the colour chart.

Can the co-ownership impose the colour on the landing side?
Yes, if the co-ownership regulations provide for it: many buildings in the 9th require a uniform colour or look on the landings. Inside the flat, the choice is yours.
Can the door’s finish be changed later?
On most models, the finishing panels can be replaced without touching the reinforced structure: if you redo your hallway, the inside face can follow suit.
Does the design chosen affect security?
No: A2P certification covers the structure, the lock and the frame. A BP2 door remains BP2 with a moulded panel just as with smooth lacquer.
How much is a security door in the 9th?
A Picard Diamant 10, A2P BP1 certified, starts at €3,650 incl. VAT. The certification level, the dimensions and the finishes on each face all affect the price; the free quote itemises each element.
