Four solutions, from door reinforcement to a BP2 door

For an apartment, the BP1-certified Picard Diamant 10 meets most needs; for a house or a ground floor, the Diamant 20 or the Fichet Spheris HiS, both BP2-certified, go further. If your current door is sound, reinforcing it remains an option.

Our doors have hinge bolts: even if the hinges were sawn through, the door would stay held in its frame. Measuring up lets us check which of these models suits your doorway.

During installation

  • The floor: protected from the landing to the entrance of your home.
  • The old door: taken away if you wish, to be specified in the quote.
  • The keys: handed to you in person, with the card of ownership.

Installing a security door in the 14th

Depending on the neighbourhood, installation brings different challenges: access, stairs, type of frame.

Boulevard Raspail and Denfert

Haussmann-era buildings with wide staircases: the door arrives in one piece and goes in without any access problems. Tall doorways call for a made-to-measure door.

  • Boulevard Raspail
  • Avenue Denfert-Rochereau
  • Rue Froidevaux
  • Avenue du Général-Leclerc

Montsouris villas

Houses on cobbled streets, often with no parking: we arrange the door delivery with you, and fit hinge bolts, which are essential on a house door.

  • Square de Montsouris
  • Rue Gazan
  • Rue Nansouty
  • Avenue Reille

Pernety and Plaisance

Small old buildings with narrow staircases: when we measure up, we check that the door set will fit through, or we suggest reinforcing the existing door.

  • Rue Pernety
  • Rue Raymond-Losserand
  • Rue de l’Ouest
  • Rue du Château

Porte de Vanves and boulevard Brune

Brick buildings from the 1930s and more recent housing: doors of standard sizes, for which a Picard Diamant 10 from the standard range is usually the right choice.

  • Boulevard Brune
  • Avenue Marc-Sangnier
  • Rue Didot
  • Avenue de la Porte-de-Vanves

Security door installation: your questions

A photo of your current door, open, already shows us the frame and the thickness of the wall.

How long does it take between ordering and installation?

A door from the standard range arrives sooner than a made-to-measure one, and special finishes lengthen the wait. The quote states the lead time; we set the installation date together when you place the order.

Do I need to be there during the installation?

Yes, or someone you trust needs to be there: at the start to let us in, and at the end to try the door and receive the keys and the card of ownership.

Does the installation damage the walls around the door?

The new door’s frame is fixed into the masonry; a little touching up of paint or plaster may be needed around it, on the inside. We point this out at the quote stage.

Do you take the old door away?

We can take it away at the end of the installation; mention it when you order so that it is included in the quote.
