Centre Saint-Rémy, the old village centre at the bottom of the valley
At the bottom of the valley, the old village centre keeps its low houses around the church of Saint-Rémy, in Flamboyant Gothic style, consecrated in 1449 and listed as a historic monument, on rue de la République. Rue Vieille-Forge, rue Gaudray and rue Falret trace its old street plan; the town hall, completed in 1898, looks onto rue Mary-Besseyre. The 1920s and 1930s buildings often have neither a caretaker nor a lift: give us the floor and the entry code. On an old door, we repair the original lock whenever possible before talking about replacement.
