Adjoining the 14th arrondissement, Malakoff rises gently from the ring road up to the fort de Vanves. Since 2020, the town has divided it into three neighbourhood councils: Nord, Centre and Sud.

This is the oldest built-up part of Malakoff: small early-20th-century apartment buildings, workshops and shops on the ground floor, courtyards reached through a porch. Around the Maison des arts and the sentier du Tir, the neighbourhood is made up of small streets. Redeveloped between 2011 and 2013, the town centre revolves around place du 11-Novembre-1918: town hall, Théâtre 71, covered market. Around it, from rue Pasteur to rue Benjamin-Raspail, the buildings mix town houses, small apartment blocks and more recent residences, as far as the Espace de vie sociale Pierre-Valette. After a move, we change the cylinder or the whole lock, like for like or with an A2P-certified model, without touching the door.

The Sud, from boulevard Camélinat to the fort de Vanves

Higher than the rest of the town, the south of Malakoff brings together the fort de Vanves, the cité des Poètes and cité des Nouzeaux estates, the Clos-Montholon and the Barbusse sector, which is covered by an urban renewal project. Do you cover all three neighbourhoods of Malakoff?

Yes. The locksmith leaves from the 16th arrondissement of Paris and comes anywhere in Malakoff: in the Nord, from the porte de Vanves to avenue Pierre-Larousse, in the Centre around the town hall, and in the Sud as far as the fort de Vanves and the boundaries with Clamart and Châtillon. How much does a door opening cost in Malakoff?

From 8 pm to midnight, the daytime rate carries a 30% surcharge; after midnight, 50%. On Saturdays and Sundays, you pay the daytime rate. In every case, the price is given before we set off.

I have a workshop or business premises at the back of a courtyard: do you come out?

Yes. Malakoff has many workshops and business premises, especially in the quartier Nord, often on the ground floor of a building or at the back of a porch. We open the door, change the cylinder or fit a sturdier lock. Tell us when you call how to get into the courtyard: the locksmith plans for it before setting off.

The door of my town house still has its original lock: do I need to change everything?

Not necessarily. On a wooden door in good condition, we replace the old lock with an A2P-certified multipoint lock, or we add a security lock. If the wood is worn, a reinforcement or a security door is more suitable. Send us a photo of the door and the lock: the locksmith arrives with the right part.

I live near the Malakoff – Plateau de Vanves metro station, on the Vanves side: do you come out there too?

Do you copy security keys?

Yes, for the main brands: Fichet, Picard, Bricard, Vachette… A protected key is only copied on presentation of the card of ownership. Orders are placed online, on our key copies page.
