Locksmith Châtillon, from Châtillon – Montrouge metro station to the Sablons

Renovated from 1987 onwards, the old town centre keeps its old houses lining rue de Fontenay and rue Gambetta, around the town hall and the church. The busier rue Gabriel-Péri leads to the market and the media library; close by, on rue de la Gare, the Folie Desmares is an 18th-century folly. This is the Châtillon of large apartment blocks: 1960s and 1970s towers and slab blocks along avenue de Paris, residences on allée Vauban and avenue de la République. The terminus of metro line 13 and the T6 tram is a stone’s throw away, as are the Orange campus and the Arues area, a future development zone (ZAC) of around 7 hectares. Developed from 1925 onwards, the Roissys and the streets around the école Marcel-Doret make up most of Châtillon’s residential housing, with a few apartment blocks along the main roads and the residences of the ZAC Aérospatiale. The houses here most often sit in the middle of their plot. In a house, the front door is not the only one to protect: the garage, garden or cellar door can be fitted with cylinders that open with the same key.

In the upper part of Châtillon, around avenue de la Division-Leclerc, the district brings together large residences near the parc André-Malraux, the ZAC des Sablons and the ONERA site. The Parc André Malraux stop on the T6 tram is very close. Between allée des Sablons, rue Kléber and rue du Plateau, residences and houses stand side by side. A lock that catches or a key that is stiff is often sorted out with a new cylinder, without changing the whole lock.
