High-security locks for apartments and offices

In the 8th, many doors already have a branded lock, but the keys in circulation are not always the right ones. We replace the cylinder like for like or fit an A2P-certified multipoint lock, whether in an apartment or a practice.

Door shut, keys inside: our call-outs in the 8th

Coming home from dinner on rue de Ponthieu to find the door has slammed shut, discovering on Monday morning that the practice’s lock has been forced, breaking your key in the cylinder just before an appointment: we come out at any hour in the 8th. Our locksmiths set off from the neighbouring 16th.

Reinforcing the entrance to an apartment in the 8th

Haussmann-era front door, service door on the back stairs, double doors into the reception rooms: each entrance is dealt with separately. We reinforce the doors you want to keep and install A2P-certified security doors when everything needs replacing.

Door reinforcement covers the door with a steel sheet and adds angle bars and a multipoint lock; a security door replaces the whole door set, frame included. The service door, a common case in the arrondissement, is covered in detail on our security door in Paris 8 page.

Where to start

  • The main entrance: reinforcement if the original door is sound, a new door if it has warped too much.
  • The service door: often thinner, it is replaced with a BP1 security door.
  • The cellar: a reinforced cellar door also protects a practice’s archives.

Do you work in offices outside opening hours?

Yes. To change a lock or cylinders without disrupting your business, we come early in the morning, in the evening or at the weekend. For an emergency, such as an office door that is jammed or has been forced, we come out at any hour.

Can you open a security door without damaging it?

In most cases, yes: a security door that has slammed shut opens without damage. If it is locked, opening it is trickier and may mean replacing the cylinder. During the day, allow €129 incl. VAT for a security door slammed shut and €149 if it is locked.

Does changing the lock at a practice take long?

A cylinder is changed in a single visit, without drilling the door. A multipoint lock takes longer, depending on the door. We agree the time with you so that your appointments are not interrupted.

Do you copy the protected keys for our offices?

Yes, for Fichet, Bricard, Picard, Vachette and other brands. Copying a protected key requires the card of ownership: without it, no copy is made, which is precisely the point of these keys for a business. Order them on our key copying page.

Do you repair the metal shutters of shops on rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré?

Are you far from the 8th?

Very close: our office is just to the west, in the 16th. It is not open to the public: our locksmiths travel throughout the 75008, from Concorde to place de l’Étoile and from the Seine to boulevard de Courcelles.
