Tesa ownership card: what you need to provide

Of the 17 Tesa models, 5 can be ordered with the key number alone. For the other 9, a photo of the ownership card is required: it proves that you may have the key copied. Without the card, depending on the model, a signed form with your documents, a sample key or a new card lets you order.

What to provide, model by model:

  • Number only: T10, T60, T80, TE5 and TE6
  • Ownership card or signed form and documents: TD5 - TD51, TD60, TX80, IPS, Mega6, T12, T70, TK6 and TK100
  • Number if shown on the key: STX T80 Taillée, STX TX80 Taillée and STX Vierge

T80, TE5 and TE6 keys are shipped within 2 working days, the TK100 within 3 working days and other Tesa models within 8 working days.

Where to find a Tesa key number

The number is engraved on the key head or printed on the ownership card supplied with the lock. For some models it only appears on the card: this is stated in the model list. Type it into the search at the top of the page to find your model.

How to recognise a Tesa key from its number:

  • 6 at the start, or 4 letters: T60 or TD60 (card number T or YT)
  • 8 at the start, or 4 letters: T80 (card number F or YT)
  • 9 at the start: TX80 (card number X) or T10 (card number T or YT)
  • 2 at the start, or 4 letters: IPS (card number 4 or YT)
  • 952 + 4 digits: T12 (card number U-69)
  • T70 + digits: T70
  • K + 6 digits: TK6
  • 4 letters + 6 digits: TK100
  • 5 digits + 1 letter: TD5 - TD51
  • key stamped Mega6, 6 digits: Mega6

The number on a Tesa ownership card is different from the key number. On a master key, the number contains PP or PG.
