Thirard ownership card: what you need to provide

Of the 23 Thirard models, 5 can be ordered with the key number alone. For the other 16, a photo of the ownership card is required: it proves that you may have the key copied. Without the card, depending on the model, a signed form with your documents, a sample key or a new card lets you order.

What to provide, model by model:

  • Number only: HG5-HG6, Standers Lock+, Surveyor - Emeraude, Transit 1 - Standers and PTT/La Poste compatible key
  • Ownership card or signed form and documents: Adria, Adriatic, Ariane, Atlantic, Atlantic M à mobile, Axira, Cobra, Cobra 2, EDF/GDF, Federal, HG5+, Pacific, T2, Trafic 6, Transit 2 and Transit Evolution
  • Sample key only: SHG6 SP - 6G SHG and SHG8 SP - Trafic 12

The number is enough for a Transit Evolution starting with Z. A sample key is required for a Trafic 6 coded H or K and for a Pacific without a number; a Trafic 12 starting with M does not need one. A key engraved Émeraude requires the card.

Thirard key lead times

FTH keys are shipped within 8 working days; allow 10 days for the PTT/La Poste compatible key, 15 days for the SHG6 SP and SHG8 SP, and 21 days for EDF/GDF keys.

Where to find a Thirard key number

The number is engraved on the key head or printed on the ownership card supplied with the lock. For some models it only appears on the card: this is stated in the model list. Type it into the search at the top of the page to find your model.

How to recognise a Thirard key from its number:

  • V + 5 or 6 digits: Transit 2

  • 4 digits + AA + 6 or 7 digits: Atlantic
  • AL + 6 digits: HG5+
  • TP + 6 or 7 digits: Pacific, Cobra or Axira
  • R + 5 digits + L: Standers Lock+
  • K at the end: Adria or Adriatic
  • B + 7 digits: Federal or Cobra 2; C, D, E or L + 7 digits: Federal; M + 7 digits: Cobra 2
  • regional 3-letter prefix + 3 or 4 digits: EDF/GDF
  • 4 digits + T + digits: PTT/La Poste compatible key

For a Transit 1, the card must show the same number as the key.
