Rue du Bac and rue de Sèvres
Old oak doors, surface-mounted locks: we replace the locks with models of the same footprint, so the door keeps its appearance and the old holes don’t show.

Front door, service staircase door, cellar door: in the large flats of the 7th, every entrance must lock as securely as the others. We change cylinders and locks at any hour, with the price given before we come out.

Every corner of the 7th has its own doors: private mansions, apartment buildings, offices. Here is what we do there most often.
Old oak doors, surface-mounted locks: we replace the locks with models of the same footprint, so the door keeps its appearance and the old holes don’t show.
Offices, professional practices and grand reception flats: when an employee or a tenant leaves, a cylinder change is usually enough to regain control of the keys.
Large flats with a service staircase: we change the front door lock and the service door lock together, for an identical level of security.
Shops and small buildings: locks for shop doors, stockrooms and cellars, with cylinders we can set up to open with the same key if you wish.
A door slammed shut on rue de Grenelle, a shutter jammed on rue Cler? All our other services in the 7th are brought together on the locksmith Paris 7 page.
In the buildings of the Champ-de-Mars and the Faubourg Saint-Germain, the service staircase leads straight to the kitchen. Its door, lighter and closed by an old lock, is often neglected, even though it opens into the same flat as the main entrance.
We replace the service door lock with a three-point or five-point model, with a security cylinder. On the inside, a thumb turn lets you get out without a key: the service staircase can serve as an emergency exit, so it is best not to block it off. Other situations are covered on our lock change in Paris page.

Yes: a burglar looks for the easiest way in, and the service staircase is used far less than the main staircase. A multipoint lock with a security cylinder brings both doors up to the same level.
It is better to keep it usable: the service staircase can serve as an emergency exit. A security lock with an inside thumb turn protects the door without preventing you from getting out.
Yes, if both locks take cylinders of the same model: we order them so that they open with a single key. It is more practical day to day, and you only have one set of keys to keep an eye on.
A single-point lock costs €210 incl. VAT; a three-point or five-point lock, from the prices in the table above. The exact price depends on the door: you are given it before the work starts.
