My manual shutter is getting hard to lift: should I have it motorised?
Not necessarily: a shutter that is hard to lift often has springs that need re-tensioning or dirty guide rails. We start by adjusting it; if the shutter is very heavy or operated several times a day, motorisation becomes worthwhile, on quotation.
Can just the damaged slats be replaced?
Yes, when the slat profile is still available: we replace bent or holed slats and keep the rest of the shutter. If the model is no longer made, we suggest a new slat curtain on the existing shaft.
