Can a solid shutter be converted into a micro-perforated one?
We replace the curtain, that is, the whole set of slats, often keeping the shaft, the guide rails and the motor if they are in good condition. Before the work, check that the change to the shopfront is permitted.
Does a micro-perforated shutter protect as well as a solid one?
Against a break-in, it offers resistance comparable to that of a solid shutter of the same thickness; it does, however, give less protection from prying eyes. For a storeroom, solid slats are still preferable.
My shutter squeaks and comes down in jerks: is it serious?
It is often a lack of greasing or dirty guide rails, sometimes a worn spring. Better to have it adjusted before it jams: we come by appointment or as an emergency.
Do you come out on Sundays, when the Marais shops are open?
