In the buildings completed in recent years around the parc Martin-Luther-King, the locks are new, but the keys are not: during the building works and then the handover, copies may have passed through several hands. Changing the cylinder when you move in settles the matter without touching the door.

Because the keys were passed around before you arrived: building contractors, agents, viewings. Changing the cylinder is the only way to be sure nobody else has a copy, and it leaves the door untouched.

No. The cylinder is held by a screw on the edge of the door, in the middle of the faceplate: we take it out, slide the new cylinder into place and screw it back in. No drilling, no cutting.
