Le Bourg, the village around place de la Mairie
Le Bourg is the historic heart: the town hall, built in 1849, and the church of Sainte-Eugénie, erected in 1859-1860 at the expense of Napoleon III, share place de la Mairie, and both are listed monuments. Rue Yves-Cariou and rue Georges-et-Xavier-Schlumberger, the former route nationale 307a, cross the village between the parks and the forest. Houses here often have several entrances, gate, front door, garden door: tell us when you call which one is stuck. On an old wooden door, a multipoint lock can be fitted without touching the façade.
